VULCANO
Vulcano was the name of a Roman deity who ruled the fire. Legend has it that the god Vulcan lived on an island in the Aeolian archipelago and forged his powerful weapons there.
Today you can visit the island of Vulcano, one of the closest islands to Sicily, and enjoy its beautiful landscapes.
On the island of Vulcano you can climb up to the Grand Crater and admire the spectacle that unfolds before your eyes.
LIPARI
Of the Aeolian Islands, Lipari is the largest. Here you can find citizen-friendly services and the archaeological museum, located inside the Castle of Lipari. The museum is one of the most important in the Mediterranean and bears witness to the life of past civilizations. This island is also of volcanic origin and offers fabulous views and panoramas.
STROMBOLI
The Island of Stromboli is known for its volcano, which is one of the most active in the world. Its fame is due to the wild charm of its territorial conformation and to "Iddu" the fearsome volcano that often makes itself felt with eruptions and jets of lapilli. Strombolicchio is characteristic: a tiny island that is nothing more than a rocky spur in which there is only a lighthouse.
You can visit these beautiful islands of the Aeolian archipelago thanks to the Mini Cruises that touch Stromboli, Lipari and Vulcano, or Panarea, Stromboli and Lipari. Otherwise you can take the Stromboli by night tour, which allows you to see the fire skies. All these proposals include a stop to visit the islands and fully appreciate the beauty of the places. The return to the hotel is the same day, with the possibility to request a transfer to/from the port of Tropea. And if you have full board treatment, you can also request and pick up lunch at the reception to take with you.
